Euth listed for Tuesday the 20th at Franklin County Dog Shelter in Columbus, OH. SHARE!
**If you're not pi#sed off about THIS adoption & return and wondering what is going on over at FCDS with all of these dogs getting into the wrong hands, you have not been paying attention! SCREEN THE ADOPTERS....EVEN JUST A LITTLE.
Marley was adopted from the Franklin County Shelter and immediately posted on Craigslist for sale for $250 by the adopters, trying to make a profit. When they couldn’t sell her and realized that someone recognized her, they dumped her back at the shelter after 3 days and made up a BS story about her being aggressive.( I guess her whole personality changed since being the sweet girl they adopted three days earlier.) Read their ad below, stating how wonderful and cuddley and perfect she is!) Yet now, the shelter is repeating their description that she is, after three days, aggressive . They euth” listed Marley.
This beautiful girl, listed as a "Redbone Coonhound" and later as a "coon hound/Pit mix, is only 10 months old, and 57 pounds.
Watch her video....sweet girl!
(And enough with the lazy form letter responses, "Oh, we are open intake and just have too many dogs" to screen the adopters.: FCDS should just check with Austin or other successful comparably-sized shelters who screen their adopters! Be a copy cat.
It's not fair to the dogs and it's YOUR JOB to help these dogs find loving, safe homes.
Let’s not fail Marley again!
If interested in fostering Marley, please PM Tammy Shattuck Sheridan, Pamela Anne Marie Price, Jennifer Kaloz, Kristal Shaffer Rake, or Angie Thomas
