Cenin Solar Farm Objection Deadline Approaching
Points To Consider With The Proposal For The 92 Acre Solar Farm At Cil Lonydd
Hi Everyone,
With The objection deadline Approaching for The Solar Farm This Monday 05th May 2025, you may want to consider these points:-
See 2025-03-17 - FI - Phase 1 Peat Probing Report Uploaded on the PEDW Case Work Website on 18/03/2025 Page 19 https://planningcasework.service.gov.wales/searchresults?q=CAS-02446-R8X8W2
As you will see the report states 3.1.2 'Probed depths were obtained by manual insertion of a metal probe to refusal depth, at a recorded maximum depth of 0.50 m below ground level (bgl)' on 04th March 2025.
( This Is clearly not true ) and the report is not accurate. The probing Map Shows many areas as green ( meaning no Peat ), when in fact there are high levels of deep peat in these areas. If you want to have a look for yourself I have included this video link :- https://youtu.be/k-gx5gb7mqA
With This in mind, plus some other points to mention, I have prepared a template Email for you to copy and paste. Or you may wish to add to it or create your own.
Remember to delete the last bit at the bottom and add your full name and address and contact details to make it valid.
You can request for your name and address to be hidden from the PEDW website, or just your address- if you want to see your name in the list to validate PEDW have received it.
Remember this development intends to connect to the huge RES substation on our mountain!. You have until this Monday 05th May to Send the email.
You don't have to live nearby the mountain to object. Anyone with a love for the wildlife and countryside can join in!.
Send the objection email to:- PEDW.infrastructure@gov.wales

FORMAL OBJECTION TO CENIN CIL LONYDD SOLAR FARM
Inspector H Davies referencing CAS-02446-R8X8W2
Dear sir,
I would like to object to the proposed Solar Farm at Cil Lonydd By Cenin.
Referencing the Peat Depth Report See 2025-03-17 - FI - Phase 1 Peat Probing Report Uploaded on the PEDW Case Work Website on 18/03/2025 Page 19 https://planningcasework.service.gov.wales/searchresults?q=CAS-02446-R8X8W2 ...As you will see the report states 3.1.2 'Probed depths were obtained by manual insertion of a metal probe to refusal depth, at a recorded maximum depth of 0.50 m below ground level (bgl)' on 04th March 2025.
This Is not accurate and the report is clearly fabricated. The probing Map Shows many areas as green ( meaning no Peat ), when in fact there are high levels of deep peat around 0.5m in these areas.
Despite requesting Carbon Debt information from the developer, regarding manufacture, shipping, installation, maintenance, decommissioning & Peat Damage etc. The developer has ignored this request.
Despite requesting a calculation / information, for the general public ( to easily understand ) how the developer has arrived at the estimate for the number of homes supplied by the electric produced, The developer has ignored the request and is clearly trying to conceal this information. With no transparency. Even adding to the confusion by increasing the homes supplied from 12,500 on the developer website to 15,000 in the project benefits statement casework documents?
The scale of permanent countryside destruction and disturbance to wildlife at this site, does not justify the minimal, intermittent, unreliable energy production. The developer has been given more than enough time. Despite this there is still inaccurate documents and lack of information. The development should be rejected.
Thank you
sincerely
