Military junta in Myanmar attempted a coup to seize power on 1st February 2021. People of Myanmar responded against the coup strongly and bravely. The failed coup leader ignored all the demands and warnings from the international community and continued to commit war crimes including brutal killings and torture to the civilians using war weapons.

Now, the junta again is using Covid-19 as a bio weapon by deliberately seizing the oxygen supply, charity civil service groups and arbitrary detention of volunteer doctors. People outside military family are being denied to get access to medical treatment and no prevention and control measures are put in place. They have also ruined the facilities set up by civilians government during the first and second waves and some had been taken away to be used in military hospitals. They also seized the funds for Covid vaccine and used them to buy weaponries. They also banned Covid 19 medicines and medical supplies imported across the border. The people of Myanmar are helpless now. People try to help out one another but the terrorist military stops them and even gets them into trouble. For example, they threatened a oxygen plant owner to death if he continued to provide oxygen supply to the civilians. They tried to arrest a young man giving out free masks on the street, and when he escaped they arrested his mother and elderly grandma instead. They opened fire to disperse the crowd in front of the oxygen plants where people queued for long hours to fill one small cylinder for their loved ones. Burmese people need Aung San suu Kyi back ASAP to overcome this 3rd wave of pandemic. With her management, they had overcome first and second waves with low numbers of casualties. They are now crying for her to be freed and lead the country.

Please kindly help the people of Myanmar. Please kindly stop the terrorist military from committing genocides and war crimes. Please protect 54 million people of Myanmar by using R2P.
