It is bad enough that Trump has illegally given Elon Musk free rein to invade the privacy of every American through the unconstitutional actions of "DOGE". But to make matters worse, we recently learned that Marko Elez, one of the recent college grads Musk hired to sift through your most personal data, is an admitted racist who has made heinous statements on social media. In case you haven't heard them, Elez's comments included these:

"For the record, I was racist before it was cool."

"Normalize Indian hate."

"You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity."

"I would not mind at all if Israel and Gaza were wiped off the face of the earth."

When these posts came to light, Elez resigned, though the fact that he has worked for Musk at multiple companies made it a safe guess Musk knew and approved of Elez's blatant racism. 

Well, there is no need to guess anymore! Elon Musk has now stated that he plans to rehire Elez to continue his Trump-ordered violation of the privacy laws of our nation, and both JD Vance and Trump have chimed in to publicly state that they AGREE with bringing Elez back! In a post on Musk's X platform, Vance said: "Here’s my view: I obviously disagree with some of Elez’s posts, but I don’t think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid’s life. We shouldn’t reward journalists who try to destroy people. Ever. So I say bring him back. If he’s a bad dude or a terrible member of the team, fire him for that." 

Which begs the question: What does someone have to do to be a "bad dude" in Vance's eyes? Being an openly racist, anti-Muslim, anti-semitic believer in eugenics doesn't qualify? In addition, why does he think it is wrong to "reward journalists" for telling the truth about a racist in our government, but it is perfectly fine to reward vile behavior by excusing it?

And an even more important point: If this "kid", who is in fact only 25, is still young enough and irresponsible enough that we should excuse his horrific statements due to his youth, what the hell is he doing being given illegal, unrestricted access to the private information of every American?  What if his youthful hijinks involve stealing data and selling it to China, or Russia, or North Korea? 

So, we urge you to sign this petition to tell Elon Musk, JD Vance, and Donald Trump that THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DO NOT WANT AN IRRESPONSIBLE, OPENLY RACIST KID working in, for, or with our government in ANY capacity!
