Hi everyone i am a basildon council tenant and since I have lived in my property nearly 8 years Morgan Sindall have failed to do works that have needed doing and Ive come to find that I am not the only one and it's concerning they are getting away with it all, leaving tenants to live with things they shouldn't be. We need a contactor who is going to actually do the works they are paid to do without multiple failed to attends or sending wrong people ect. Even just not booking the work in and them ignoring serious issues. 

Just some back story on mine I have no sound proofing between me and the flat above I have been on to them since 2016 about this issue alot as you can imagine. In 2020 they finally did the sound proofing test which come back we definitely don't have sound proofing at all it failed and works needed carrying out ASAP. At this point I'd had 2 different neighbours above me and the 2nd had just moved out so the flat was free for Morgan sindall to do the works whenever but they didn't. They gutted the flat so I thought the works was being carried out and the flat was left empty for 9 months but they voided the job and moved another tenant in last year. This tenant by far Is the worst ive lived under and its having a bad effect on mine and my child mental health. doesn't go to bed till 5am, pumps music through my ceiling so loud it outdoors mine and the bass comes down my walls and contstant banging around so there for Me and my child can't sleep and we have to be up for 6.30 to be out the house for 7.45 weekdays and due to this I've lost jobs, child been late or had to have days off developed, I've developed anxiety at night and depression, can't make ends meet on benefits and I shouldn't have to but they still don't care. I was once told to go have a cup of tea calm down and have a nap at 9am in the morning when I should of been at work it's ridiculous the way they handle stuff. Anyways I got the mps and mayors office involved in 2022 because Morgan sindal was just fobbing me off and they told them that they would have a plan back by November 2022 but its 24th Jan 2023 and still nothing not even a date. no light at the end of the tunnel I'm just a constantly tired sitting duck and I've had enough of all of us being fobbed off. 

I've seen people living with full on mold they've tried to fix themselves but it needs proper work done they are not doing, walls falling down and houses being flooded from failed drainage and no hot water or heating for long periods of times it's just not on. What I've mentioned above is one issue but I've had multiple failings on repairs by them and this is just me.

My hot water tank exploded the day I got the keys. Back decking attached to the back of the house was partly collapsed( just told me not to go out the back). Floor boards upstairs wasn't screwed down and it flipped when I walked over it with my baby in my arms and I feel smashed my head on the wall trying not to fall through the ceiling with her. My bath had a crack in it and the whole floor was soaking wet underneath and collapsing but 20 Morgan sindal worker said it was fine but I argued for a sub contractor and he actually looked properly under the bath and raised for the whole floor and supporting beams to be replaced and the bath. Told me not to use it and apologised for them as it was really bad like what was they doing when they looked. They came and tried to lay a floor over the collapsing flood because it was a friday but I heard them on the baby monitor and stood up for myself made them do it properly and went without a bathroom for the weekend. Sprinkler system they installed flooded on installation and they lost me 2 doors but still 3 years later waiting for them to re install them after lying telling me basildon council need to sign off which they didn't I spoke to basildon council and they wasn't happy with them and I finally got them booked in but still having to wait ages and argue with them. Shed door was ment to be done along with everyone else's years ago but they forgot and still waiting on that over 7 years later. A brick feel out the top 3rd floor roof and luckily bounced off rabbit hutch first but it hit me in the head and was a argument to get them out for that. Upstairs has flooded me twice and I've been made to pay out for stuff myself. 

The list goes on and on but they are not simple issues we can fix ourselves and it's there job. I would be sacked for not doing my job properly. Some of these works needing carrying out are causing so much more damage to things that don't ever get sorted out either. so they need to either sort it out or we need a new contractor who actually cares about them homes they are being paid to maintain. I've made my place a lovely home from the state of it when I was given it just like many other people who take pride in their homes. we just want what they are suppose to deliver as a business and get the works done for everyone. They might be able to ignore us individually but together they can't. Hopefully we can all get the issues sorted and give them the push they clearly need �
