Stop Meta from banning creators without explanation

The Issue

Meta is suspending creators’ accounts and limiting their content without clear explanations or real human support.

I am an emerging creator with tens of thousands of followers. My Facebook account has been suspended, and my Instagram account has been suspended several times. My content was also removed from Facebook recommendations, and I had to delete videos without being told exactly what was wrong.

This is not only about me. Many creators are reporting the same pattern: sudden bans, vague policy messages, lost reach, rejected appeals and no clear way to speak to a human reviewer. It often feels like decisions are made by poorly tuned automated systems, while appeals receive generic replies that do not address the actual issue.

Creators spend months and years building communities on Instagram, Facebook and Threads. These accounts are portfolios, archives, audiences, business channels and future opportunities.

Meta should not be able to damage that work through unclear automated decisions.

We ask Meta to:

  • Give clear reasons for suspensions and content restrictions.
  • Explain which post, action or policy caused the decision.
  • Provide real human review for appeals.
  • Create a fairer support path for creators and small businesses.
  • Be more transparent about wrongful bans and automated enforcement.

Please sign this petition if you believe creators deserve fair treatment, clear explanations and real human support.
