After a failed application due to strong community backlash in 2023, the developers of 152 Kepa Road are back to try again. SAY NO TO THIS HARMFUL JUNK FOOD IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Local iwi have made such positive steps forward with the Pourewa Mara Kai Vegetable Gardens across the road. Having a McDonald's directly opposite this proposed site is the antithesis of healthy kai. St Joseph's Primary School is also opposite the site and having our young kids facing McDonald's straight after school surely gives them the wrong message. We have vulnerable people living in the immediate vicinity. Lets not make the "convenience" of this unhealthy choice the 'go-to' meal. Kepa Road is an already busy arterial route. By adding this 24/7 monster it will create traffic mayhem with drive through queues spilling onto the road from this small site. There are other McDonald's within approx 4kms in other directions of this site, why another one? The rubbish, odour, noise and visual pollution is not what our quiet community needs.
