Stop Maraville River Pollution Now—Protect, Restore, and Government Action

The Issue

The residents of Maraville Village are living next to a river that has turned from a source of life into a serious health threat. Once clear, safe, and flowing with fresh water, our river is now clogged with garbage, spoiled food, plastic waste, and even the decaying bodies of animals. It is no longer a place of peace but a hotspot of disease and danger. Families can no longer gather by the river, children canʼt play nearby, and during floods, toxic waste spills into the streets. This isnʼt just an environmental issue but a public health crisis that affects every one of us.

If we allow this problem to continue, our entire community will face worsening consequences: increased illness, polluted surroundings, and dangerous living conditions every time it rains. However, if we act now, we can still reverse the damage. A river clean-up program, stricter enforcement of anti-dumping laws, and proper waste disposal systems are key steps to solving this crisis. With help from local government units (LGUs), environmental agencies, and united community volunteers, we can bring the river back to life making Maraville Village safer, cleaner, and more livable for all.

Time is running out. The longer we delay, the more the pollution spreads and the harder it becomes to fix. The health of our children, our elders, and future generations depends on what we do today. We cannot wait for another flood to carry toxins into our homes or another outbreak of disease to hit our neighborhood. The people of Maraville Village are ready to act, but we need strong support from our government leaders and environmental organizations to provide resources, enforce regulations, and stand with us in this fight.
