County of Kauai is allowing 300 condos to be built in Koloa! Project was planned and permitted in 1970s. -“Kauanoe O Koloa”

How do you guys feel about this? Locals are struggling more then ever to find affordable housing. These units will be sold to people moving here. NO AFFORDABLE LOCAL HOUSING. 2 bedroom unit starting at 800k!

This planned project is part of an old Hawaiian village. Burials and Lava tubes are not being protected.

Koloa cave system is considered to 1 of the 10 most endangered cave ecosystem worldwide!
On April 9, 2003, the USFWS designated 272 acres in southern Kauai as critical habitat. One year earlier, the agency had proposed that 4,193 acres should be designated as critical habitat, but changed the proposal because it would have been very costly to private landowners.

Why are we allowing this? Time for County of Kauai to step up to mainland wealthy investors and say NO! This land was sold for 18 million dollars! Kuleana land claims are being ignored.

Call or email council members/ mayors office/ planning department!
Tell them you don’t support this! We need local homes! poipu has not had a local subdivision built since 1966!
