An image I can’t get out of my mind is walking the trails in the Tucson Mountains, around the Desert Museum, and facing west. Seeing the beautiful valley as it exists today. And then envisioning a massive freeway cutting through it - wedged between tribal lands. The silence destroyed by freeway noise. The pollution from freeway travel. Unacceptable.
