Stop Homestay Guests Abusing Residents 

We need help from residents of Avara to stop Homestay activity in our community.

A number of residents have been inflicted with noise disturbance for 15 months due to groups descending on one property, 6, Denai Bayu 2, for large family gatherings and parties.  This ongoing noise disturbances escalated last night (27th May 2022) to verbal abuse and threats to an neighbouring owner's request to reduce the noise.

Owner's with property available to rent can do this by finding long term tenants, rather than short term holiday lets.  People on holiday are often looking for an experience that is not conducive to residential family living, they can choose to book alternative accommodation designed to suit their needs.

We now have residents in our community who fear for their own, and their family's safety.  This is not a situation that should be allowed to continue.
