Stop ICE from killing innocent people
The Issue
There is absolutely no reason for ICE, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to be able to shoot and kill innocent people. This is a personal matter to me because the idea that lives are being lost senselessly under the guise of law enforcement is infuriating and deeply tragic. These aren't just random incidents; they are preventable tragedies that reflect a failure in the system that's supposed to protect the public.
Numerous reports highlight the overreach and misuse of force by ICE agents who operate with alarming impunity. The agency's mandate to manage immigration enforcement has dangerously extended beyond its scope, resulting in the unnecessary loss of lives. According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), ICE has been involved in grave violations of human rights, with actions that include unnecessary aggression towards unarmed and non-threatening individuals.
This misuse of power needs to be addressed immediately. A comprehensive reform of ICE policies is long overdue. First, it's critical to implement stringent regulations governing the use of force.
