It is with great concern that we received news of the decision to build a Hydroelectric Plant within the boundaries of Geyikbayiri and Doyran region.

 How will this project affect Geyikbayiri?

1. The rich natural water reserve coming from the Taurus Mountain Range will be taken from its natural environment, the people and creatures that live in the region and given to the pipelines of a company that controls the Hydroelectric Plant to be imprisoned in concrete basins to be sold for profit.
2. This will have a negative impact on the natural water resources of Geyikbayırı area; rivers and waterfalls will dry, all living beings will be affected by a man made drought and this will deal a major blow to the local ecosystem and the end of life for many species of plants and animals.
3. Another impact will be on human life, the 12.000 hectares of farming land in the area will no longer be usable resulting in a loss of livelihood for the local farmers resulting in poverty and forced migration.

URGENT!

We ask all nature lovers to help us protect this beautiful area.
Geyikbayiri area and its immediate surroundings are under a special conservation status as the area plays a major role in providing water for the city of Antalya.

We think that the permission for this company to build a Hydroelectric Plant using this important and protected water source must have been given by mistake. We request Doyran Enerji A.Ş. and MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY for the necessary correction to be made as soon as possible.

As all people who love and respect nature and the local people, we must loudly announce that WE DO NOT WANT a hydroelectric power plant in this region. PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE WITH EVERYONE AROUND YOU for the cancellation of the project.

Geyikbayiri is located in the suburb Konyaalti of Antalya city and is home to Geyik Sivrisi Mountain (1700m), within a nature conservation site at an altitude of 500m with a rich biodiversity attracting many ecotourists throughout the year. GEYİKBAYIRI ve DOYRAN'DA HES İSTEMİYORUZ!

Antalya Geyikbayırı ve Doyran sınırları içerisinde kalan bir bölgeye HES yani Hidroelektrik Santrali projesi planlandığının haberini aldığımız için çok üzgünüz.

HES Bölgeyi nasıl etkileyecek?

1. Toros dağlarından akan zengin doğal su kaynakları doğadan, canlılardan, insanlardan alınacak ve bir HES şirketinin kontrolüne geçerek borular ve beton havuzlar içerisine hapsedilecek, bu su yalnızca şirketlerin kazancı için kullanılacak, satılacak.
2. Bunun sonucu olarak birinci derece sit alanı olan ve doğal su rezervi olarak koruma altında bulunan Geyikbayırı bölgesinin doğal su kaynakları doğrudan olumsuz etkilenecek; dere yatakları ve şelaleler kuruyacak, zengin bitki örtüsü yerini kuraklığa bırakacak bu durum ekosistemi derinden sarsacak ve yabani hayatı öldürecek.
3. Bir diğer yandan insan yaşamı ve yerleşim de olumsuz etkilenecek, 12.000 dönümlük alanda artık tarım yapılamayacak, yerel halk fakirleşecek ve zorunlu göçler olacak.

Su havzası ilan edilerek mutlak koruma altına alınmış olan Geyikbayırı bölgesine HES onayının yanlışlıkla verilmiş olduğunu düşünüyor ve projenin sorumluları olan Doyran Enerji A.Ş. ve Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı'ndan ACİLEN hatanın düzeltilmesini talep ediyoruz.

Tüm doğa severler ve halkın tüm kesimleri olarak bu bölgede HES istemediğimizi yüksek bir sesle duyurmalıyız. Projenin iptali için LÜTFEN İMZALAYIN VE ÇEVRENİZDEKİ HERKESLE PAYLAŞIN.

Geyikbayırı; Antalya’nın Konyaaltı ilçesinde Torosların kucağında Geyiksivrisi dağının (1700m) eteklerinde 500m rakımda bulunan doğal bir sit alanıdır ve zengin bitki örtüsü, doğal su kaynaklarına, doğal kaya yapılarına, Trebenna antik kenti ve likya yoluna ev sahipliği yapan turizmin yoğun olduğu bir bölgedir.
