Last week, the neighboring Clubhouse peninsula had a tragic fire and loss of a home. Thankfully, no one was injured and our brave Fire Departments were able to address. Fire department and EMS deployed a number of trucks to the site and contained the fire to 'just' the one home.
Imagine a multi unit apartment complex risk in a fire like this.
The National Fire Protection Association states there were 95,000 apartment structure fires across the country in a single year. These fires resulted in counts of injuries and even loss of life.
- Emergency vehicles attempting to get to the hot zone with just one roadway
- Lack of 360° access to the properties based on being positioned on the water
- Potential of neighboring properties with flammable industrial / commercial products.
- Risk to the homeowners directly across the street on Whaleneck for property... and life
- One BBQ fire could risk hundreds of lives
