Stop High Density Housing in areas w/No municipal water & sewer in New Castle County DE

The Issue

Help Stop High Density Housing in areas without the Public Services including Public Sewer, Public Water & Storm Water Management.

New Castle County Council approved an amendment without community input to allow 10 houses per acre in areas served only by well and septic. This amendment (24-072) overlooked the environmental impact of treating the sewage of 10 houses per acre onsite.  The water for this high-density development would be drawn from an onsite well.

This experiment is being thrusted upon Centreville by a developer with significant financial interest.  We support the concept of Cluster Communities however it should be tested in an area more suitable to high density development where the infrastructure will support it.

If you believe high density housing should only be built in areas served by municipal water and sewer please sign this petition!

Help New Castle County Council make the right decision.  Stop High Density Housing served by onsite well and septic.
