STOP GOVERNMENT GREED - Restore Parking in Downtown Ft. Myers
The Issue
Downtown Ft. Myers thrives because of the hard work of many different people – from dishwashers and servers to cooks, bartenders, nail technicians, and more. They’re the ones who make our community vibrant. But there’s a problem: city and county workers get to park for free, funded by our taxes, while these hardworking downtown employees have to pay for parking. It’s just not fair.
These workers not only bring life to our downtown area but also help the city make money from parking fees. So why should they have to pay just to do their jobs? It’s time to make things right and give them the same benefit as other city workers: free parking.
By supporting this, we’re standing up for fairness and showing respect for everyone who keeps downtown active! Join us in ensuring they get the recognition and perks they deserve.
Additionally, we encourage you to reach out to Mayor Kevin Anderson and express your support for providing free parking for downtown workers. Let Mayor Anderson know that this initiative is crucial for equality in our community. You can contact Mayor Anderson at mayoranderson@cityftmyers.com or text Downtown Councilman Liston Brochette at (239) 340-4040.
Thank you for listening and taking action!
