Around the world, geoengineering and weather modification programs have raised concerns about their environmental impacts, particularly those operating without public oversight. Despite the potential for mitigating climate change, these programs can potentially disrupt ecosystems and weather patterns both locally and globally. The United Kingdom is no exception. Despite the significance of these implications, such programs are currently allowed to operate in the UK without adequate public oversight or regulation. We are calling on the UK government to implement a complete ban on geoengineering cloud seeding and Solar Radiation Management (SRM) programs, enabling the British population, wildlife, and ecosystem to remain free from potential unwanted side effects of these scientific interventions. These side effects might range from disruption of local weather patterns to potential health hazards. Please take a stand for a safer UK and our planet as a whole; sign this petition and urge the UK government to stop all geoengineering and weather modification SRM programs.
