If you only knew the power of your voice! Share your issues with mail-order pharmacy story or any issues with Express Scripts, Optum Rx, CVS Caremark & help create the change to save lives. There is a reporter covering these issues. You may remain anonymous to the public.

CVS Caremark, Optum RX, Express Scripts are pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). Basically, they oversee your pharmacy benefits. They also own their own mail-order pharmacies that are loosely regulated as they face little to no consequences when medications arrive damaged or they don't arrive before patients run out. Often, patients who have these companies overseeing their benefits are steered to the pharmacy benefit manager's pharmacies and away from their trusted pharmacists.

The reporter is collecting stories on all issues with pharmacy benefit managers including and beyond their mail-order pharmacies.

Please email me if you are interested in sharing your story at loretta@uniteforsafemedications.com

In addition to sharing any issues with mail-order pharmacy, you may share other insurance company's pharmacy benefit manager issues such as:

  • Removal of medications from the formulary or list of covered medications.
  • Issues with step therapy. This is when a pharmacy benefit manager will require a person to fail 3 different drugs before they will cover a medication.
  • Being steered to mail-order pharmacy and finding out that the copay is more than the cash price at a local pharmacy.
  • Seeing your local pharmacies closing due to poor reimbursements and losing your community pharmacists requiring people in your community to drive further for medications.
  • Poor communication.
  • Harassing calls or texts.
  • The lack of proper pharmacy consultations.
  • Long hold times.
  • Receiving the wrong medications.
  • Issues with using discount cards at mail-order pharmacies.
  • Threatening letters such as use mail-order pharmacy or pay more for your prescriptions.
  • Sudden changes to medications covered or pharmacies covered with little notice. Sometimes, this leaves patients without medications.
  • Any other issues

The rapid decline in pharmaceutical care is alarming, but we don't have to stay silent and watch. By sharing your story, you can help fight back!

We appreciate your support!

Thank you,
