India is moving towards E20 petrol, but millions of vehicle owners have concerns about compatibility, mileage, maintenance costs, and long-term vehicle health. We request the Government of India to ensure that 100% pure petrol (E0) remains available along with E20 petrol, allowing citizens the freedom to choose fuel according to their vehicle requirements.

We, the citizens of India, respectfully request the Government of India to reconsider the compulsory implementation of E20 petrol and ensure the continued availability of 100% pure petrol (E0) as an alternative option.
We appreciate the Government’s efforts to promote renewable energy, reduce dependence on imported crude oil, and support farmers through ethanol production. However, fuel policies should also consider consumer choice, vehicle safety, and long-term economic impact.

Why We Are Concerned
1. Vehicle Compatibility
A large number of vehicles currently running on Indian roads were manufactured before E20 fuel became common. Vehicle owners are concerned about possible long-term effects on fuel systems, rubber components, engine performance, and maintenance requirements.

Citizens should have the freedom to select fuel based on:

3. Mileage and Cost Concerns
Ethanol has lower energy content compared to petrol. Some users may experience reduced fuel efficiency, which can increase running costs.

We request the Government of India to:
