Female Genital Mutilation( FGM) is the temporary or permanent removal of the female genitalia without any therapeutic reasons.

Infants,girls,young women, pregnant women, including female gender living with disabilities are at risk of the genitals been mutilated without any medical reasons.

The rights of the women to live is breached,rights to herself and her self esteem is messed up permanently.

Unfortunately,so many misconceptions are attached to it while the fundamental issue is cultural affiliations........promiscuity,eroding cultural values,religious factors are other factors affecting the end of FGM.

We must put an end to this  menace because of the immediate and remote consequences: pains, haemorrhage, infertility, psycho-social impacts,low self esteem, fractures,dislocations,pains during and after menstrual periods, pregnancy complications,bleeding,HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.and even death.
