Those that own property in Jupiter Farms, Florida (a large, non deed restricted agricultural community) are being falsely represented by a group of individuals that claim to be a legal property owners association. 

A group of indivuduals filed for incorporation under the name Jupiter Farm Residents, Inc. in 1992 later dissolving that entity with the state and forming as the current Jupiter Farms Residents Association Inc.

On their website, www.jupiterfarmsresidents.com , the posted bylaws  state "Jupiter Farms Residents Board or JFR is a liaison between government agencies and the owners that make up the farms community. It serves as the Farms advocate when dealing with governmental entities." the bylaws further state the organization represents "any resident within these boundaries, above the age of 18, shall be considered a member of Jupiter Farms Residents."

In short, a group of 7 registered individuals claim to advocate for an estimated 4,800 property owners without disclosure or written consent from said Jupiter Farms property owner. 

Although the organized group accepts non-mandatory donations many of the owners do not know the group exists.  Jupiter Farms property owners are largely unaware that a group of 7 people hold 8 board meetings annually and work actively with local government to include building/zoning and code enforcement. During this activity, Jupiter Farms Residents Association Inc. claims to speak on behalf of all owners over the age of 18 without proper legal consent.  Palm Beach County officials have been notified of this discrepancy by various homeowners and have failed to respond.  The opinions of seven individuals are being misrepresented as the opinion of all residents within boundaries and the organized group is working with government to change and re-shape the community without legal authority.
