UPDATE: If you hadn’t heard the news there is now consensus agreement in Washington that Russian meddling did happen in order to get Donald Trump elected. This was briefed to Senators last week and reported today. With razor thin margins in several states it seems more than likely now that Hillary Clinton would be President had Russia not been in the picture.

With this new information we need our leaders to stand up and fix this mistake, to protect our democracy and security. Recounts are not enough. Let’s take notes from Standing Rock and demand that our leaders respond quickly to stop the Electoral Voting. Please share the petition widely. Its already in the top 15% of petitions on Change.org.

ORIGINAL TEXT: There is high suspicion of Russian tampering in the U.S. election in both the email hacking and now in voting. Senators are asking President Obama to declassify information and release it to the public. President elect Trump has stated that he may not help NATO allies if elected president, and it is widely known that Russia has interests in former Soviet Block countries who are NATO members. A member of Putin's party claimed last week that "United Russia won the elections in America".

This petition is addressed to all government agencies and to President Obama, who took an oath to uphold the constitution and protect the American people. If Russian hacking and meddling is found, it is a national security breach, and if Donald Trump is complicit, it may be an act of Treason. Please delay the Electoral College voting until the full scope of of this issue is understood. Protect Americans from potentially the greatest threat in a generation. There is too much at stake.
