Stop Donald Trump from erasing our non-white history!

Stop Donald Trump from erasing our non-white history!
The Issue
Non-white Americans—and all Americans who value truth—are directly impacted by Donald Trump’s policies. Since returning to office on January 20, 2025, he has pushed efforts that erase Black and non-white voices, silence history, and dismantle diversity. These actions include removing Black Lives Matter Plaza and its mural, signing an executive order attacking the National Museum of African American History, cutting funding to HBCUs, and scrubbing federal websites of Black leaders, Navajo Code Talkers, women, and other marginalized heroes. This erasure denies non-white families, students, and future generations the right to see themselves reflected in the nation’s story, while also depriving the broader public of an honest, inclusive history.
If these policies continue unchecked, our history will be rewritten to fit a distorted narrative where only certain stories are told, and others are erased. That means children will grow up without learning the truth of their ancestors’ struggles and contributions. Communities will lose access to cultural institutions, museums, and programs that honor Black and other non-white resilience and progress. The erasure of Non-white history is not just about the past—it shapes who is valued in the present and whose contributions are recognized in the future. But if we act now, we can preserve the full, rich story of America and ensure that no community’s voice is silenced.
This is a critical moment. The attacks on Black history and culture are already happening—museums are under threat, funding is being cut, and stories are disappearing from public record. Every day that passes without resistance allows more of our legacy to be erased. As Congressman Bennie G. Thompson said, “One man can’t silence our voice or erase our legacy.” We must act immediately to protect Black history, defend diversity initiatives, and safeguard truth for future generations. The time is now to demand accountability, preserve our heritage, and ensure that all voices remain part of America’s story.
