As seen on Four Corners recently, there are plans linked to the Obeid family —shortsighted and greedy beachside apartments on Pristine Hawks Nest Coastline. This would destroy a stunning natural environment for short term gain.

This quiet seaside town has a population of 1,200 people and lies 2.5 hours from Sydney and was declared an Aboriginal Site of Significance in 2002.

The Hawks Nest Development which is located next to the golf club is just a part of what the Obeid's have described as their “big plans” for our beachside community.

Eddie Obeid was sentenced in October to a minimum of three years and ten months in prison for his part in rigging a lucrative mining tender on family owned land west of Sydney.

We can’t have this corruption in our community!

This area has a rich cultural history and has been a gathering place for the Worimi people for over 4000 years, making it well worth a visit.

We have 15kms of pristine beach, untouched by development. This also lies on Indigenous land.

Talks of a five-star hotel, more apartments and a new retail precinct, according to sources of ABC.

We need to set a benchmark to protect our beaches and Indigenous lands from corrupt former politicians and their cohorts.
