If deported to Iran, I will face imprisonment, torture, or execution.

I am Farzad Zarrin, an Iranian political comedian and outspoken critic of the Iranian regime currently living in Turkey with my wife, Parisa Zarrin. For years I have used my platform and voice to speak against oppression, reaching a large audience of Iranians inside and outside the country.

Our asylum request in Turkey has been rejected, and we now face the very real risk of deportation back to Iran. Due to my public political stance, media presence, and opposition to the regime, returning to Iran would expose us to serious danger, including arrest, imprisonment, and severe punishment.

This situation is not only about our personal safety or our family’s future. Silencing a public voice sends fear to millions who believe in freedom of expression and human rights. My wife and I only seek the chance to live safely without fear of persecution.

We respectfully call on Turkish authorities, international human rights organizations, and the global community to review our case and ensure that Farzad Zarrin and Parisa Zarrin are not returned to a place where their life and freedom would be in danger.
