The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) initially planned to remove stray dogs from the streets near the G20 Summit in September. However, the idea was later withdrew due to backlash from animal activists and lovers. Recently, visuals of dogs being mercilessly picked up and locked in subhuman enclosures have surfaced online, raising concerns about animal welfare and cruelty in the name of beautifying prominent locations near the event venue. The MCD released a circular addressing to sterilize and hide thousands of street dogs to clean up and beautify the premises chosen for hosting the G20 summit. However, this was condemned by people who took to social media to voice their concerns about the injustice the animals faced. This needs to be stopped animal lives are still lives whether or not they are like us they deserve a family these innocent dogs have done nothing yet they are being harmed mercilessly.
