The Issue

I am deeply concerned about the potential installation and operation of data centers, banks, and farms in Hubbard, Ohio. These facilities are notorious for their negative impact on the environment, and I am compelled to take action to prevent this from happening in our community.

One of the most alarming issues with data centers is their enormous consumption of electricity. The incredible demand they place on our power grid inevitably leads to increased electricity rates for all residents. In Hubbard, a community largely dependent on maintaining affordable living conditions, a rise in electric rates could financially strain numerous families.

Additionally, these data centers have historically been linked to environmental concerns, such as contamination of well water. This risk could jeopardize the health and safety of all Hubbard residents. In an area where many families depend on well water, this threat cannot be overlooked.

Our town deserves to remain a safe, affordable, and healthy place to live, free from the challenges these data centers could impose. We need to explore alternative, sustainable solutions that won't harm our environment or increase living costs.

I urge the local authorities in Hubbard to take a strong stand against the allowance of such facilities. Let us protect our community by keeping it environmentally safe and economically stable for current and future generations.

Please join me in signing this petition to send a powerful message to our leaders, insisting that they prioritize the well-being of Hubbard residents over the corporate interests of these data center operations. Together, our voices can make a difference.
