I will start off with responses I received. You can view the full petition details below. At the time I drafted the petition we had  2478 signatures, that number has since grown and currently at 2809. I also want to thank the city council members for the responses received. I would also like to recognize that they have put in some hard work to get Lake Elsinore to where it is today. However as a  community we can all agree that we do NOT want data centers to be a part of the future vision for this city.

Response From: Bob Magee
Thank you Araceli.
Knowing where our constituents stand on an issue is very important to each of us.  Although any such project is months or even years away from being presented to the City Council, we appreciate you getting out in front of this potentially divisive application.  Should it ever be presented to us, we now know where the community stands.
Thank you.
Bob

Response From: Timothy Sheridan

What Supporters Are Saying
The following comments were submitted by signers through the Supporter Voices section of the
petition page on Change.org. These are real constituents sharing why this issue matters to
them.
QUOTE 1
Californians have been saying for YEARS we want to allocate our resources and
projects, such as the Catalyst Fund, to support our local environment and keep our
cities safe, green, and welcoming; the construction of a data center is the EXACT
OPPOSITE of what the people have used to outspeak and represent their votes and
voices towards, we want nothing to do with theses crummy centers or any movement
towards the progression of harmful production. Tear it down.
-- Nicolas , Lake Elsinore
QUOTE 2
I am with the other signers of this petition when they express how massive AI data
centers are a source of noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution, energy costs, and
overall damage to the environment, city, and communities. There is no benefit to
anyone here except to mega corporations taking advantage of a new, de-regulated, and
profitable business. Lake Elsinore already has to work hard to get by, and having this
would be devastating, please protect our city!
-- Andrew, Lake Elsinore,
QUOTE 3
Lake Elsinore is small city, that a lot of us have called home for the past 20+ years.
Lake Elsinore is a beautiful city and a data center is NOT an ideal thing to build. As the
city is growing, there is only so much that Lake Elsinore can handle. Just because there
are vacant pieces of lands, it does not mean it’s okay to build a data center in the
middle of it. We already have extreme heats during the summer, and even winter and
adding a data center will only make it worse and weaken our water supply. We have
been experiencing very dry years over the past couple of years and it’s only going to

continue to do so with these data centers. There is no need for this. This HARMS THE
ENVIRONMENT. Take care of our City!
-- Gisselle, Lake Elsinore
QUOTE 4
I respectfully oppose the proposed data center project in Lake Elsinore. While I
understand the importance of economic development and technology infrastructure, I
believe this project raises significant concerns that deserve careful consideration. Data
centers can place substantial demands on our local water and electrical resources,
generate continuous noise from cooling systems and backup generators, and alter the
character of surrounding neighborhoods. Lake Elsinore is a growing community that
should prioritize sustainable development, open space, housing, and businesses that
provide broader employment opportunities for residents. I urge the City to fully evaluate
the long-term environmental impacts, infrastructure demands, traffic, and quality-of-life
effects before approving this project. If these concerns cannot be adequately
addressed, I ask the City to deny the proposal and pursue development that better
reflects the needs and priorities of our community. Thank you for considering the voices
of Lake Elsinore residents and for ensuring that future growth is responsible,
transparent, and in the best interest of our city.
