The Oireachtas Transport committee met today with DAA CEO Kenny Jacobs.

Some points of note:

Mr Jacobs did admit the DAA control flight paths. Not the IAA, AirNav or ANCA

He did not consent that there was an issue over our towns. He avoided the question.

It was clarified he has a vested interest/stock in Ryanair and 12 other airlines. The better they do the better he does. Is this a conflict of interest?

Worth noting The current illegal paths are shorter than planned approved  = increase profits for airlines. So if the illegal flight paths were to increase Ryanair profits by say €5 million/year compared to the legal one, would that explain Kenny's decision to refuse to change them?

He does not believe they are breaking planning law by flying over Ratoath and Ashbourne.

The complaints system is not independently managed or complaints reviewed by any independent body. According to him that’s “standard practice “.

if you have 5 minutes please email the transport committee to request flight paths be altered to avoid noise pollution over Ratoath/Ashbourne.
