The Deregulation of cross border hiring in 2015 has caused untold financial losses to local hardworking ,regulated driving professionals .

The fact is that this deregulation allowsyour Town or City can be plagued by out of town private hires , travelling sometimes hundreds of miles away , any time of day with Wolverhampton license plates for example and from Bolton or Knowsly with a driver whom seldom wear an identity  badge

This Brings the trade into disrepute .The standards of Driving ,IS compromised Security   Regulation , cannot be upheld ,the trade now is totally unregulated and Wolverhampton licenced vehicles cannot be checked , they operate from Edinborough to Penzance. Wolverhampton Council have not got either  the time or  infrastructure for regular vehicle inspections on the vehicles they licence , thus they disregard where the vehicle may operate this is putting ,fee paying local businesses and Taxi owners out of work accompanied by aggressive marketing tactics of Uber.

Rather like the 10p Loaf the £3 fare is a loss leader a gimmick.we all know about Uber surging prices,charging extortionate fares when they are busy.They pretend to be Taxis  , Uber drivers pick up  fares illegally off Blackpool Promenade. The majority of Uber ride sharers I have witnessed ignore local licensing laws and park where they like , they do not follow bye laws and park in Bus bays ,Taxi Ranksillegally on  Zebra crossings without penalty , these drivers are pretenders £200 outlay for a badge  and stickers to go! 

We need to return to a Regulated system.

If your License is from Wolverhampton ,then that should be  your work area. The Local council should limit the licences issued. Then there would be some control Communities are being ripped apart financially by all this flocking and pillaging of work at busy periods.Its a free for all , standards of driving witnessed by myself , Uber vehicles driving down one way streets ,the wrong way at speed, even on Tram tracks, they have no local knowledge are not observant , encourage walk up jobs by sitting outside Blackpool Tower , Park up outside nightclubs breaking all local laws .And they cannot be challenged because their license issuer is Wolverhsmpton , still busy counting the cash as they give out licence after licence to make profit ...it is an absolute disgrace in my opinion.  Where is the regulation ? Are we getting 1million Wolverhampton licences , when will it stop ?  Towns and Cities will face massive consequences of this legislation , areas will become devoid of local  people to transport them on local journeys , job losses and urban decay shop closures , crime will increase as there is no local presence on the roads and streets and avenues and house prices will fall .We need to stop this now ! Contact your New M.P. and local council and save your job and economy of your Town or City .

No one is against competition  but let's have a level playing field . Limit Ubers numbers to their licensed area .And let the council dictate how many get licences ..Safer streets for everyone ......
