83 Untimely deaths recorded in Irish Air Corps toxic chemical exposure tragedy
This has recently been brought to our attention: Another group with unusually high deaths and illnesses very similar to those suffered by aircrew and passengers following exposure to toxic chemical fumes onboard commercial aircraft.
Another group simply being ignored - with the issue being swept under the carpet by the Irish Government.

‘If you are new to the Irish Air Corps Toxic Chemical Exposure Scandal please start by reading Joe Leogue’s summary article from 5th January 2018. This long & detailed article (linked below) will bring any reader up to speed as to the disgraceful working conditions at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel. We are grateful to Joe for this article and his work at exposing this scandal so far.
In a series of articles across 2017, the Irish Examiner revealed serious concerns about the working environment within the Air Corps — matters that have seen allegations of a deliberate cover-up, of victimisation of whistleblowers, and of a lackadaisical attitude towards health and safety that has put lives at risk, writes Joe Leogue.’ (source)

If you go to the accas website shown above, you will see the list of injuries - not only to the employees, but to their children also.
Sadly, many of the harmful chemicals are capable of mutating DNA which can be passed on to future generations.
A complete tragedy.

There are many toxic chemicals used in aviation oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids and aircraft fuel. Here is a very interesting, recently published article regarding TCP by Professor J. Ludwig, DokZentrum-AnsTageslicht.de, Germany:

Tricresyl Phosphate Neurotoxicity Potential
George William Sherk
‘The WHO Working Group noted that individual variability made it impossible to establish a safe level of exposure to TOCP. It may be presumed that such individual variability may exist with regard to the other five TCP isomers that also appear to be neurotoxicants. Consequently, it may be in the best interests of both the public and those firms that manufacture TCP utilizing natural cresol isomers to convert to the use of synthetic cresol isomers. The costs of not doing so, especially if low levels of exposure over long periods of time result in significant neurological or reproductive injury, may be politically, legally and economically unacceptable.’

Despite so much evidence and numerous studies over the years on the subject of Aerotoxic Syndrome and Aerotoxicity (including the one above which was published in the British Medical Journal), the UK Government have ignored and denied the devastating effects of harmful chemicals from aircraft oil, hydraulic fluids, aircraft exhaust and de-icing fluids on human health for decades. So much so, that frontline NHS staff and GP’s have not even been educated on this type of poisoning.
Not only is this tragic, it is a blatant disregard of public health and human life.
