Petition updateStop contaminated cabin air in aircraft!Cabin Air ‘Safe’ according to your Government, Regulator & Airline

According to Airlines, Regulators and Governments, the air you breathe onboard aircraft is as good as that in your home or office.......

Then why would the ECA (European Cockpit Association) publish this?

An acknowledgement that this problem exists? An acknowledgment that this could be an issue?

Is it that so many pilots absolutely love their chosen profession of flying aircraft - so much so that they could ignore the ‘problem’? Is this a possibility? Is it that they love their job so much that IT - (the love of flying aircraft) comes before everything else? - Before their duties and responsibilities as a pilot, a Commander, a First Officer, a colleague, a husband, a wife, a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister, a friend?

It seems (according to the CAA & EASA) that Fume Events Onboard Aircraft are very rare. Reports of contaminated air are very few - it only happens very occasionally and therefore is not a problem. Is that really the case?, or is it that pilots don’t want to report Fume Events and ‘rock the boat’ because of their ‘love’ for flying aircraft?
