Xena, my beloved dog, has been with me since she was just a week old. In the wake of her mother's untimely death, I took on the responsibility of raising Xena. Over the years, she has grown into a healthy, loving, and indispensable part of my family. Unfortunately, the Cloncurry Council has shockingly seized Xena, and her life now hangs in the balance under the threat of an unjust euthanasia order.

The pain of possibly losing a cherished pet cannot be understated. Xena is not just a pet, she is family. Those of us who have been fortunate to share our lives with animals like Xena can attest to the unconditional love, joy, and companionship they bring to our existence. Taking Xena away under these circumstances is not only unfair but inhumane.

Xena is a healthy dog who poses no threat. She deserves to live out her life in the loving environment she has known and thrived in. We cannot stand idly by as this travesty continues. The Cloncurry Council has the power and authority to save Xena's life by reversing the decision to euthanize and, instead, releasing her back to the home where she is loved and belongs.

I urge the Cloncurry Council to reconsider their decision and immediately halt the euthanasia order against Xena. Let's show the Council that the bond between humans and their pets is one that should be respected and preserved. Please join me in calling on the Cloncurry Council to release Xena safely back home where she belongs.
