The freemixing in Salam Chat, a Muslim discord server is rampant. Moderators and server owners are letting it slide for the sake of ‘not looking extreme’. For any Muslim, this is an outrage! We need to stand up for change using the example of our prophet ﷺ and the orders of Allah ﷻ.

 

this petition is made so we can end this disgusting sin rampant on a server affecting 25,00 people! When we see wrong, we are obliged as Muslims to fix it. That is why we are creating this petition.

Muslims whom are following their deen should be more careful with the opposite gender who is also following their deen.

# lobby # muslim and the other chats with both genders being able to type should not be used. They are just a cover for free mixing to happen in them.

Especially chats like # chill. IT is litteraly made for the two genders to relax together!!! What is this guys! This isn't okay.

And then moderators get suprised and begin to ban/punish people for freemixing(which happens ways less than it should) when we litteraly have chats made for free mixing to happen!

If the server is designed for freemixing, of course it will happen!

I've seen the justification for these chats by @ibrähim (busy) and I just want to note a few things:

-we have around 25k people. It isn't much of an issue for us getting more users.

Most people are voice and gender verified anyway.

The gender segregated chats like # lounge-men are more popular than the freemixing counterpart of # lobby.

-Who cares what other people think! We shouldn't water down the deen for people to 'not think we're extreme. Islam started as something strange and end as it. we dont need to conform to society.

We have Allah.

-chats that actually have a purpose like # qa-discussion shouldn't be deleted. They have an actual purpose to benefit, unlike chats like # chill and maybe # today-i-learned. The ones that have actual purposes should stay, but the headless chats should not.

There Must be Change immediatly.
