The Issue

When comedian Rosie O'Donnell tried to interview survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking during her final night guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live, network officials shut the idea down. "My idea for the last night was to do the Epstein reveal," O'Donnell said on The Jann Arden Podcast, adding that ABC officials "said that they were certain that that could not happen." She has said she believes pressure from the Trump administration is why the interview never aired.

O'Donnell didn't let it end there. She met with several of the survivors herself and shared a video of the two of them together, telling the women, "I know it's been very hard for you women, with very little support. And I'm sorry that our country is so f**ked up, that this is what you have to live through, because you're all heroes and you're going to change how the world deals with child sex abuse."

Her frustration points to a bigger failure: a law passed in November 2025 required the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release nearly all Epstein-related files with minimal redactions by December of that year. The DOJ missed that deadline, and only released roughly 3.5 million files this past January, with heavy redactions still in place. Rep. Thomas Massie's new bill, the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, would let survivors, state attorneys general, and members of Congress sue the DOJ for failing to comply — and has already drawn support from more than 100 legislators.

If a major network won't even let survivors tell their own story, the least the government can do is stop hiding the files. Sign the petition to demand the DOJ fully release the Epstein files, so survivors finally get the transparency they've been denied.
