Stop CAA: Demand More for Our Kids’ Baseball/Softball Experience

Stop CAA: Demand More for Our Kids’ Baseball/Softball Experience
The Issue
As we all know, Coopertown Athletic Association is knowingly and intentionally hurting the children’s baseball/softball experience by once again attempting to have their own league. With no designated lighted fields, concession stands, bathrooms, access to water, etc - having a league is NOT in the best interest of the children. CAA does not attempt to host a league for ANY other sports due to lack of facilities, so why is baseball/softball any different?
At stake here is our children’s experience with baseball and softball and being afforded the opportunity to play in an actual league who has the facilities and funding for the season.
Our children should not be forced to play with CAA and not get the experience they deserve and should not have to give up their chance at tournament play by playing out of zone.
CAA should either shut down their league or provide all children releases and waivers to play in neighboring leagues. It is evident, this is not about the children, but about money. CAA is NOT a registered “non-profit” as they claim, and does not provide transparent data on where our money will go. They have no facilities to maintain, so what is our fee for?
With registration deadlines looming, please sign this petition, which will be posted on CAA’s public Facebook page, as well as forwarded to the District, State and National DYB directors.
