My daughter  goes to a local state school in our area. She is a bright , funny , outgoing child until last year. at the young age if seven she was bullied in ways you wouldn't want on your worst enemy. My daughter was mentally, emotionally physically ,sexualised  and abused by a male student in her class along side another student who threatened her and emotionally bullied her. my daughter was choked, punched , put in dangerous situations as young girl should not have to deal with. The schools behaviour was average, the only response I haver ever got from them in 18 months was we are monitoring behaviour and trust us there are consequences which I never saw anything implemented only the abuse continuing.

the bullying got so bad, The teacher decided it was her turn to join, she would yell at my daughter, throw her property around even tried implied  me neglect when she had bad sunburn. it was vile. I made a complaint to the department of Education which, if you have ever done is a waste of time and they always side with the school ( complaints take up to 8 months to finish). this year is no better, the boys in Grade two have a huge misogynistic undertone eg the comments that have been said to my daughter that she is a skank that should get back in the kitchen, she is a whore who shouldn't celebrate International women's day. My daughter has been sent death threats and been been verbally told she will be killed, any parent would be frustrated , annoyed and upset about hearing this over and over in a 18 month period I have rang the school and been very direct and due to this I have been banned from the school , not allowed to call or contact staff because I have had enough and want my daughter to stop getting bullied. sadly, my daughter isn't the only student who has experienced these issues it's becoming the new norm in schools.

My daughter refuses to go to school, she is scared and fears for her safety.

All I want is my daughter to be able to go to school and have her life back. please sign the petition to get the school to take ownership of this and get her back into school and feeling safe

I want local, state and federal Governments to take awareness and the seriousness of what is going on in our schools and change the way bullying is handled. a victim of bullying should not be stripped of their education due to fearing for their safety. I want school safety changes I want all our kids to be safe at school and know they are safe.
