Stop building residential dwellings on green belt, countryside land - make it sustainable
The Issue
I've lived in Hempstead, Kent my whole life and more and more I'm seeing our green spaces. Countryside and green belt land being swallowed up by swathes of concrete jungles and houses, and developers and owners with richly lined pockets building on these areas of nature, destroying countryside. There are far from enough schools and doctors apts already. I myself took nearly two years to finally be diagnosed with chronic arthritis and live near a hospital that has already been deemed critical but yet have several housing developments proposed with no infrastructure or support and no work to the roads around the area to aid with the already increased number of cars, accidents and concerns that are present. I feel there should be much more control and consideration for the facilities and infrastructure as well as the wildlife involved and the damage that developments cause to the environment. I also feel that it is unfair that developments are allowed to go ahead when there is overwhelming opposition and if this is the case there should be extenuating circumstances for it to be allowed and no more than 50 houses on farmland or areas of green belt, natural, ancient or outstanding beauty or areas where the environment and ecosystem would be adversely and detrimentally impacted
