The residents of Bradford are seeking to stop the council from increasing council tax by more than 5%. Many of us are barely managing the current rates, and further hikes would place an unsupportable burden on already struggling households. Furthermore, we need a council that works in our best interest, rather than failing us constantly. Over the past years, planning lapses, poor waste management, and slow responses to citizen inquiries point to poor performance by current council members. According to the Local Government Association’s resident satisfaction survey, 74% of Bradford's residents expressed dissatisfaction with how their council is run. Therefore, we are asking for a thorough review of their appointment. Stop exploiting taxpayers and remove those incapable of fulfilling their duties. We need a council that understands and responds to the needs of its citizens. We cannot afford another year of financial escalation and deteriorating services.
