Happy Monday Everyone,
I know it’s been awhile since I posted an update. It’s also been a couple of months since my husband and I paid this platform for this petition to be seen. We can’t afford to keep doing this as we are a single income family and car repairs on our 12 year old vehicle - our only vehicle - set us back a few grand in the last several months.
I’ve stopped sharing the link on Facebook because I feel that people with pages are wary of anyone posting a link and brands them as scammers. I used to engage commenters, put on a thick skin and find a way to incorporate my petition into a comment. Now I’ve just added it as a link in my Facebook profile bio. Maybe once I regain the bandwidth, I’ll start shamelessly finding places to share my petition on Facebook. I don’t use Instagram, Tiktok or X or any other social media platform so I would greatly appreciate it if you shared it on other platforms. I am so proud of all the college students who are protesting the war in Gaza and are living by their principles. They give me hope for humanity. I’m just a keyboard warrior who got kicked out for anonymously posting an anti-genocide song. I wish I could do more, but I’m trying to focus on my mental health and recovery from a lifetime of complex trauma. I finally was able to get a new therapist recently after encountering a bunch of roadblocks while trying to seek neuroaffirmative care, being a late-diagnosed autistic person.
For the sake of my mental health, I’ve stopped checking on my petition after it stalled due to the lack of paid views. I’ve had bigger battles to fight regarding my autistic kids’ education. I’ve had to deal with a traumatic experience at the hands of a toxic family member less than 24 hours after he wished me Happy Birthday. Things like this have been the story of my life. But I’m going to keep the last fortune cookie fortune from Panda Express in my phone wallet for some much-needed optimism: “Good things are coming your way”. Well, I know the white rice from Panda Express isn’t one of them, but I digress.
And for all of you who’ve signed and shared ( and please continue to share)
I hope nothing but good things come your way!
Best,
Adriann aka Blathering Blasian
P.S.
The pic I posted is of my youngest giving her big brother a hug. She loves giving hugs and I am grateful to have such an affectionate little daughter lighting up my life with her sweetness!
