The Issue

The Bidadi Township project is threatening the very essence of our community. This project not only jeopardizes our beloved hometown of Bidadi but also the surrounding lush, green environment that we have cherished and protected for generations.

Bidadi, known for its rich cultural heritage and close-knit community, is at risk of losing its identity. The proposed township could lead to overpopulation in a once peaceful locality, raising concerns about the quality of life for all of us who've called Bidadi our home for years. With increased population density, we can expect more traffic congestion, pollution, and strain on essential services like water, electricity, and waste management.

Moreover, the township project poses serious environmental threats. A significant portion of Bidadi's green spaces and agricultural lands would be converted into urban structures. Deforestation and loss of arable land would not only harm local biodiversity but could also have adverse effects on local farmers whose livelihoods depend on these lands.

Statistics and studies have shown that rapid urbanization without adequate planning can lead to long-term negative impacts on both the environment and the community. A case study from a nearby region showcases similar development projects that resulted in reduced air quality, increased noise pollution, and local water bodies drying up due to uncontrolled use.

We understand the need for development and progress, but we believe that it should be sustainable and considerate of local ecosystems and communities. Instead, the focus should be on improving existing infrastructure and supporting eco-friendly projects that protect both nature and our way of life.

We call on local authorities, environmental agencies, and the project developers to reconsider this plan and engage with the Bidadi community to find alternatives that will not compromise our cultural and environmental heritage.

By signing this petition, you are taking a stand to protect Bidadi and ensure a sustainable future for our community and generations to come. Please sign and share this petition to stop the Bidadi township project.
