AUSTRALIANS JOIN SWITZERLAND TO DECLARE THAT TRUMP'S ATTACKS ON IRAN IS A "VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW."

Like many, I am deeply concerned about the growing possibility of my country being dragged into ongoing conflict in Iran particularly now they’ve announced reconnaisance aircraft being provided to support various efforts. The situation in the region is tense and unpredictable - Australians don’t want in any part of the War in Iran or involvement in illegal actions against another sovereign nation. Unforeseen consequences that could arise should this conflict continue to escalate, i ask for your support in calling for Australia to remove itself from involvement in the area.

The conflict in Iran has already taken a devastating toll on innocent lives, stoked regional instability, and fostered a humanitarian crisis. According to reputable sources such as the United Nations and humanitarian organisations, thousands of civilians are caught in the crossfire, facing shortages of basic necessities and lack of access to essential services.

I believe it is crucial for our government to exercise restraint and prioritise diplomatic solutions rather than military interventions. Instead of becoming entangled in a war that does not serve our national interest, we should allocate resources towards humanitarian aid and supporting diplomatic talks aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region.

The potential involvement in this conflict poses significant risks not only to the regional stability but also to global peace. It threatens to further complicate an already volatile situation, leading to widespread destabilisation that could have lasting repercussions for generations to come.

We cannot afford to ignore the lessons of past conflicts, where military interventions have often led to prolonged engagements without achieving lasting peace. It is imperative that our leaders seek peaceful and diplomatic paths that can prevent unnecessary loss of life and secure a stable future for all.

I urge my fellow citizens to stand with me in advocating for peace and diplomacy over war. Let us send a strong message to our policymakers that we do not support further escalation and involvement in foreign conflicts.

Please join me in signing this petition to demand that our government pursues peaceful solutions to the conflict in Iran and prevents any further escalation of war in particular of allied actions enter „grey” areas. Australia wants no part in the Iran war. Together, we can make our voices heard and push for a safer and more peaceful world.
