Stop Artificial Inflation of Single Family Homes

Stop Artificial Inflation of Single Family Homes
The Issue
The cost of single family homes in the United States has outrun the buying power of the majority of middle and working class Americans.
The largest contributor to this problem is large organizations and corporations (E.g. hedge-funds) buying up hundreds and thousands of single family homes for the purpose of creating long term investments for their extremely rich constituents to profit off of the returns.
This has caused a massive uptick in artificial inflation in the single family housing market, thereby pushing individual buyers out of the already hyper-competitive marketplace while corporations farm these properties by either flipping them for much higher prices, or in turn renting these properties back to the public at astronomical rates. Because of the sheer number of properties these organizations own, they are able to control the rental market as well, further driving up costs for average American families.
This Petition proposes that a limit be set, as to how many single-family properties an organization, corporation, hedge-fund, etc. may own at a given time to a maximum of ten (10) properties.
This will force organizations for stop partaking in the fraudulent and downright criminal hyperinflation caused by their investment ventures, which has contributed to the disintegration of middle-class American families.
If organizations want to invest in real estate, then they should do so in multi-family housing (apartments/condos) and commercial sectors of the industry.
It is high time that we stop allowing Corporate-America to drive up the costs of our individual opportunities while they laugh all the way to the bank to cash our rent checks,.
