The Issue

All residents of Vistancia, a master planned residential community, are impacted.  This proposed 50 acre, 2.5 million square foot mega plant puts our water table at risk of pollution from Amkor.  Amkor will be consuming and dumping up to 2 million gallons water into our sewage system per day.

There is no current authorization for any industrial plants to be placed in 5 North of Vistancia, a mixed-use town center zone. The Peoria City Council is pushing this plan ahead for self-serving reasons and with no regard for our public safety.  It defies logic.  Move this site to an industrial zone where it belongs!  City Planning 101.

Our sewage water reclamation system is not designed to remove industrial chemicals of any concentration.  Amkor chemicals will be in the water used to irrigate Vistancia landscapes and recharge our water table.  This is a threat to our public safety and has to be defeated.

The city permit to Amkor has not been approved.  The time to act is now!  Please sign this petition.  Vistancia/Trilogy/Blackstone comprises 10% of the residents within the City of Peoria.  We can put pressure on the City Council by getting involved.     www.citizensforsmartgrowth.org
