The Canadian government has acknowledged the financial hardships faced by disabled Canadians and introduced the Canada Disability Benefit to assist us in coping with the rising cost of living. Despite the federal government’s efforts to extend a helping hand, the Alberta Government has decided to claw back this critical support, essentially depriving disabled Albertans of the aid they need and deserve. It is deeply troubling that despite the clear need for financial assistance, the Alberta Government is undermining the very initiative meant to uplift and support our community.
