The introduction of AI at stop signs isn't accompanied by compelling evidence showing that it will enhance safety more effectively than experienced human officers. Rather than focusing on protecting people, it seems like a system geared towards generating revenue for the state. Virginia's pending super speeder law is another example of excessive measures that could penalize good drivers unfairly. While reckless driving shouldn't be condoned, there should be room for situational exceptions, especially for those with spotless driving records.

Under the new laws, if you're caught driving 100 miles per hour, you’ll be forced to install a device that restricts your car's speed. This doesn’t consider scenarios where there are no other cars on the road – punishing drivers for a victimless crime.
