In recent events, Amazon has created at least THREE different dubs using generative AI all in an effort to cut costs. The result? We got the WORST anime dubs in history, and there was no emotion, purpose, or connection to the plot or audience with this AI "voice acting".

It's time for voice actors to stand up for not only themselves, but also, the industry as a whole! We want strict regulations regarding AI in the industry!

It would mean the world if you signed this petition. No pressure, but you don't have to be a voice actor to sign; you can be a director, animator, artist, or even a fan. Anyone who wants to sign is welcome to.

EDIT: After reflecting a little bit, I realized didn’t really set a goal for this petition. My main motive is to make sure voice acting jobs don’t disappear altogether because of AI. It is ruining our industry, and until we have set boundaries on what AI can and can’t be used for, it’s going to completely destroy the entertainment industry. So, it would be helpful to our cause if a company wants to use AI for entertainment, they have to have the following:

1. If AI is used at all for anything, the client will have to have written consent by the talent PRIOR to production of the AI product
2. Reserve at least the professional space (meaning big name productions and studios) to human beings
3. Talent should have the right to request takedown of any AI generated content using their likeness, and can pursue legal action if it’s necessary.
4. Talent can withdraw consent to having their voice replicated using AI, meaning the client has to cease usage of the AI from the moment a talent withdraws consent on
5. Talent has the right to take legal action against AI replicas of their voice, art, etc that was made without their consent
