Stop AI Data Centers From Being Built in America!

Stop AI Data Centers From Being Built in America!

The Issue

The large demand for Ai-integration into our everyday lives, which has been forced by large corporations, requires data centers. In 2025, 130 data centers were built in America and took up 4% of all power used in the United States. The amount of power used by data centers is expected to double by 2029. So many are being built, and local towns are powerless to stop them (having been threatened with lawsuits, small towns are not rich enough to go up against these often hundred million dollar projects). Not only do data centers take lots of water and power away from citizens, but the taxes that citizens pay will also increase to compensate for all the water and power ai is using. Is AI that much of a necessity to you?

We, the people of America, propose a halt on all new data center building in the U.S until further regulation can be put in place to ensure nobody’s lives are negatively impacted for the furthering of robots.
