The Issue

Mission: The main objective of this petition is to raise awareness about the exploitative nature of AI art along with striving to have stricter laws and regulations regarding the use of AI art.

AI art has steadily started to replace artists as animation studios have begun to favor the use of generative art to save time and money. AI art also has less of a positive impact on people due to not being relatable and can hurt society due to its ability to create large quantities of problematic images.

To prevent this issue from worsening and ensure a better future, we need to band together and show our disapproval of the use of AI in art.

Shocking Facts

  • During 2023 in China, the number of illustrator jobs has decreased by 70% mostly due to AI.
  • Countless artists who do commissions have reported that AI has resulted in fewer jobs and the jobs they do have pay less.
  • Companies that use AI are directly benefiting from the job loss and financial suffering of artists.
