Age verification on devices down to the OS (Operating System) is a major privacy and trust issue that's been rising in recent years. These systems will require people to share personal information like government issued ID or face data to use their phone or computer, which is not trust worthy as there have been several data breaches from these websites that can be stolen or used for illegal actions. On top of that, people are paying for these devices, which makes it feel like you are renting the device, not owning it. proper online safety does not have to come at the cost of personal privacy. There are better ways to protect people, like teaching safe habits and giving parents control tools. We should not accept solutions that take away privacy and give company's such as "Google" "Apple" and "Microsoft" more control of us.
